Pure Copper Coffee Pot

$450.00

We have run out of stock for this item.

Copper coffee pot created by hand by up to 5 hot-blooded Jacob Bromwell® workers in Vermont, USA!  A Jacob Bromwell® product is an investment for life.

In 1670, Bostonian Dorothy Jones was granted a license to sell coffee, and became America's first coffee trader. By 1688, coffee was the breakfast beverage of choice in New York City, replacing beer. And since 1819, Jacob Bromwell® has been creating this coffee pot out of pure copper, and they haven't changed one aspect of it through the years. Handcrafted from pure copper, this unique coffee pot holds 9 cups and promises to bring a touch of pioneer history to your kitchen and dining room table.
  • A traditional item with no percolator. As a traditional item, please note that a percolator is not necessary to use this item and not included
  • Holds 9 cups (approx 2L)
  • It works over an open fire, as well as a stovetop (gas, wood, or electric)
  • Careful: Do not boil dry coffee pot! If the coffee pot is boiled dry, it will cause the seams to leak. If boiling water, always keep at least a couple of inches of water in the pot
  • Made of pure, solid copper and features a hot-tinned interior. Considered to be a long-lost art, hot-tinning is a manufacturing process pioneered by Jacob Bromwell® nearly 200 years ago. As a highly-skilled, labor-intensive process, they take sheets of tin and apply them through a process of heating directly to the copper. Hot-tinning makes each piece unique and historically correct to the original design, and also ensures that your product 100% food and beverage safe

Copper is resistant to corrosion and will never rust. If left untreated, the copper finish will naturally oxidise and age beautifully. You can polish it up to restore its shiny finish, or let it earn a beautiful patina.
